Christian Reilly - Headliner

At the age of 15, Christian Reilly joined a band to get laid. The Salvation Army had different ideas…

As former integral part of the Perrier award-winning show Otis Lee Crenshaw and the Black Liars, with comic/songster Rich Hall, Christian’s career has taken him around the world three times. On his way, he received accolades at international festivals and numerous network TV credits in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Britain.

Now a solo stand-up performer and playing all the major comedy venues in his own right, Christian uses his dynamic guitar and vocal skills to target histrionic rock bands, musical theatre and morose indie musicians. He recently wrote and performed for ‘That Was Then This Is Now’ (BBC Radio 2) as musical counterpart to Richard Herring and Emma Kennedy, as well as giving his improvisation skills an outing on Radio 2’s ‘Jammin’.

“His stand-up is witty and heaving with punchlines…will win over all but the hardest hearts and minds.” Chortle

“This genuine, trendy, confident comedian has a natural talent for risky jokes, song and quips which you can’t help laughing at! If you get the chance to see Reilly live, do so. He is not to be missed!” Funny.co.uk

James Cook - Support

You can often find him performing at clubs such as The Glee, Jongleurs, Komedia among others, and he’s a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, either doing stand-up, or performing shows about board gaming.

His act has been described as “truly original” (Danny Wallace (off of the telly)), whereas he’s been called “suave and chirpy” by that publishing powerhouse, the Bromsgrove Advertiser, and a “sarcastic raconteur” by the Leeds Metro.

For some reason, this means that he has been likened to “the future Frank Skinner” (Birmingham Metro) and “Dylan Moran’s younger brother” (The Stage). How this is possible remains a mystery.

James won a Jongleurs/Spike Milligan award for being the funniest person in the Midlands in 2003. It’s been fourteen years and they haven’t asked for it back, so he’s assuming it must still be him.

“his quick tongue and dry sense of humour kept me laughing” (BBC Tees).

Pat Gallagher - Compere

Pat Gallagher is a Birmingham born comic who lives in the hot bed of comedy that is the Forest of Dean. He is arguably one of the best unsigned acts in comedy today.

He remains unsigned principally because he loves a good argument.

He headlines gigs throughout the South West and South Wales and is a regular compere for us here at Lonestar Comedy.

‘Pat Gallagher is a genius. Saw him MC last night, it’s great to watch him go from friendly chatting to outrageously funny and back again without missing a beat or even acknowledging it. Class.’ Chortle
