The Sinden Theatre is located within the grounds of Homewood School and is at the heart of the Arts College. Opened in 2004, the 231 seat venue is named after its patron, actor and local resident, Sir Donald Sinden CBE. The theatre was created from a pre-existing school hall when Homewood achieved Arts College status in 2003, enabling funds to be made available for the year-long conversion to take place. The Sinden provides facilities for both the school, which has a strong Performing Arts Department, and for a wider audience in its role as a professional receiving theatre serving The Weald and south-east Kent.

Markus Birdman - Headliner
Birdman is a top comedy act hailing from New Zealand. He is a fine storyteller and delivers killer punchlines.
‘Birdman cuts a dashing figure, elegant, smart, theatrical. A hugely entertaining hour of thoughtful, heartfelt, mature comedy, performed with great energy and dynamism’ Chortle‘Meditative but not mournful, he makes us feel part of his story. Hugely enjoyable and lots of ruddy good gags’ The Scotsman
Chris McCausland - Headliner
Chris has been performing stand-up since 2003 and is established at the top of the UK’s live comedy circuit. You can catch him performing all over the country including regularly at the world famous Comedy Store in the heart of London’s West End.
Between 2005 and 2012 Chris took six different stand-up shows up to the Edinburgh Festival and in 2011 was awarded the Creative Diversity Award for Comedy by a Channel 4 led panel of broadcasters that included the BBC, ITV and Sky.
“A stirling set – eligantly written and engagingly performed”– Chortle.co.uk
Tony Cowards - Compere
Tony has been performing stand up comedy all over the country since 2004 and is originally from sleepy Suffolk but now lives in rural Wiltshire, where he sits around in his pyjamas, drinking tea, eating Jaffa cakes and playing with his cat whilst training as a world class procrastinator for the 2016 Olympics.
Tony is a quickfire joke teller (described by the List magazine as a “Pun-osaurus”) whose one-liners cover a wide spectrum of subjects, his quick wit has made him a sought after act throughout the UK.
Tony Cowards is a great act who sets the audience up perfectly, with a nice self deprecating manner
