Howard Read is a comic, writer, animator and actor, in that order. He is best known for being one half (and the other half), of the Big Howard, Little Howard, the world’s first human cartoon double-act. He is also an acclaimed stand-up comic, writer, author, illustrator and animator.
Howard is still a regular on the UK comedy circuit, compering and performing sets all over the country, and sometimes the world.
His unique inclusion of animation in his stand-up work won him a nomination for the Edinburgh Comedy Award in 2003 and his toured his Big Howard Little Howard shows nationally and to festivals in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
He also created and wrote the comedy obituary show Peacefully In Their Sleeps for Radio 4 which included a guest appearance by Richard Briers CBE.
